Randomized Benchmarking as Convolution: Fourier Analysis of Gate Dependent Errors

چکیده
We show that the Randomized Benchmarking (RB) protocol is a convolution amenable to Fourier space analysis. By adopting mathematical framework of transforms matrix-valued functions on groups established in recent work from Gowers and Hatami \cite{GH15}, we provide an alternative proof Wallman's \cite{Wallman2018} Proctor's \cite{Proctor17} bounds effect gate-dependent noise randomized benchmarking. explicitly as long our faulty gate-set close targeted representation Clifford group, RB sequence described by exponential decay process has exactly two eigenvalues one rest zero. This also allows us construct gauge which average error depolarizing channel parameterized rates, well maximizes fidelity with respect ideal gate-set.

Randomized benchmarking and process tomography for gate errors in a solid-state qubit.
We present measurements of single-qubit gate errors for a superconducting qubit. Results from quantum process tomography and randomized benchmarking are compared with gate errors obtained from a double pi pulse experiment. Randomized benchmarking reveals a minimum average gate error of 1.1+/-0.3% and a simple exponential dependence of fidelity on the number of gates. It shows that the limits on...
متن کاملEfficient measurement of quantum gate error by interleaved randomized benchmarking.
We describe a scalable experimental protocol for estimating the average error of individual quantum computational gates. This protocol consists of interleaving random Clifford gates between the gate of interest and provides an estimate as well as theoretical bounds for the average error of the gate under test, so long as the average noise variation over all Clifford gates is small. This techniq...

which has the following property Fc(f ∗ g)(x) = (Fcf)(x)(Fcg)(x). (3) The theory of integral transforms related to the Fourier and Mellin convolutions is well developed [2, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 19] and has many applications. Some other classes of integral transforms, that are not related to any known convolutions, are considered in [14, 15]. In this paper we investigate integral transforms of the...
متن کاملQuantifying the quantum gate fidelity of single-atom spin qubits in silicon by randomized benchmarking.
Building upon the demonstration of coherent control and single-shot readout of the electron and nuclear spins of individual (31)P atoms in silicon, we present here a systematic experimental estimate of quantum gate fidelities using randomized benchmarking of 1-qubit gates in the Clifford group. We apply this analysis to the electron and the ionized (31)P nucleus of a single P donor in isotopica...
